In my last email a close call in Greece had motivated me to stop wasting time and start living a more impactful life.
So many people today just don’t know what they want to do with their lives – I’m talking about kids out of high school and college as well as adults in their 30s and 40s or even older.
I was one of these people.
When I graduated I had no clue what I wanted to do. I just knew that I wanted to help people.
To help gain clarity and get a plan for the future I took a trip – a trip that ended up changing my life for a number of different reasons.
One of the main reasons was that I met Abbie, a kindred spirit who really gave me a new understanding of life and what you can accomplish with it.
Abby, who I met in Paris, has become my best friend and together we have resolved to travel the world, helping others.
Both of us firmly believe that you should do something that makes you happy and that life is too short to even consider anything else.
Together, Abby and I recently went to Africa to build houses for the less fortunate there.
It didn’t take me long on that trip to realize that is what I wanted to be doing with my life!
I had so much fun … and the people were so nice … and as long as I live I’ll never forget the looks on people’s faces when they were presented with their new houses.
But how can a McDonald’s employee possibly afford to travel like I want? The answer may surprise you. I’ll tell you everything in my next email.
